You go through infertility and you think you understand loss, and then something else happens.
A very lovely couple we know lost their toddler. During his short life he was deeply loved and appreciated. Now, without explanation, he is gone.
I know loss. All of us know loss. And yet.
My heart is broken for them.

- 4 miscarriages, 3 failed IVFs with PGD, 2 different sperm donors, 1 diagnosis of balanced translocation. Now we are the proud parents of a boy via domestic infant semi-open adoption. We had a failed match for kid #2 and are now matched again.

I'm so sorry for your friend's loss. I just can't imagine this type of loss.
Stories like this make me so heartsick. I just don't get it - why babies die. My thoughts are with your friends.

Its just incomprehensible that this keeps happening, babies die in utero, infants die and now toddlers die. My aunt and uncle's son died when was 5. He was my first cousin. I'm so terribly sorry for the death of your friends' son. What a cruel, fucked up blow. My heart hurts for them.
