We got an email asking us if we wanted our profile shown with a small amount of background information. Long story short, we had our profile shown to an expectant mom.
She chose a family that didn't already have a child. We expect this to happen a lot.
Our profile has lots of pictures of our happy family. I wonder if we should have fewer pictures of H in there? But I don't want to be dishonest. We *do* have a child. And I imagine there are expectant parents who want their child to have siblings.
It's still kind of disappointing and I'm not sure what to do about it. I suppose we'll just leave things as they are.
But all of the paperwork is off and we are 100% waiting. Before we know it we will have to renew our home study.
But I guess it's good we've already had two chances to show our profile (though we chose to show it only once)?

We were chosen for #2 because we had already adopted. 30% of the families placed at our agency last year already has children in their home. :) waiting is hard!
I don't think I'd tone down the photos of Henry. A previous boss of mine adopted his children and was chosen for his daughter because of the fact he already had a son. The birth-mom wanted her daughter to have a big brother. <3
I believe the right situation is out there for you. It will come along.
Oh, and I think you did the right thing about the family tree. You are H's family. Sure, he's got more family, but simple is good. There's lots of time for complicated later.
I wouldn't tone down the H photos. While some people will prefer a family with no children, for others a sibling will be desirable. And showing H shows what a great life he has, and what a great life his future sibling will have too.
