People see what they want to see. Sometimes I get that too. Other times I get, "Your son doesn't look like you at all!" I just say nothing or, "You think so?"
I notice people say things about your child looking like the parent a LOT. I find it weird and every time someone says something I think, what if I had used a donated embryo? Or adopted? I guess no one even thinks of that.... and like Sue said, they see what they want to see.
I get that occasionally from friends and strangers alike. The first time it happened, it *was* very weird, almost Twilight Zone-ish. I'm glad the reaction lessens over time. :)
4 miscarriages, 3 failed IVFs with PGD, 2 different sperm donors, 1 diagnosis of balanced translocation.
Now we are the proud parents of a boy via domestic infant semi-open adoption.
We had a failed match for kid #2 and are now matched again.

That is what I say! :D It is weird.
To me, that seems like a weird comment to make to a stranger anyway.

I get that all the time. People always want to know if my husband is really tall because Lovey Girl is a mighty big toddler.
