We went for a long walk this afternoon. I let him run around in the dog park without a leash for the first time. There weren't any other dogs and the fenced in area was reasonable small, but he came to me when I called him. It was a good first for us.

I came over to congratulate you on your match, but I'm commenting on this post cause I love those photos. My dog (cocker/beagle) does exactly that and it is so funny when he just completely freezes with his legs out like that. We never had a name for it though - now we do. Thanks for that!
Sending you lots of good thoughts for the match and ensuing paperwork. That is an incredible drag about the declaration of your heterosexuality - how completely bizarre. I don't think your proposed solution (sign and donate to Lambda Legal) is remotely lame, though - gotta make the best of the situation, right?
